Policy
MPD officers do not intervene in hotel or motel owner/client disputes, except where required by statute.
- In the absence of a court order, a hotel/motel owner may not take possession of a tenant's property for failure to pay the bill.
- With good cause, a hotel/motel owner may evict a client from the premises without a court order for reasons outlined in Minn. Stat. §327.
